The Opportunity 

We are looking for a Principal Insights Analyst to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, you'll play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that influence strategic business decisions across the organisation. As the most senior individual contributor within the analytics team, you'll provide technical leadership, mentor analysts and help shape the future direction of our analytics capability.

While this role is advertised as a Principal Insights Analyst, we also welcome applications from experienced Senior Insights Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic analysis and deliver actionable insights that support business decision[1]making.
• Translate complex data into clear, compelling stories for executive and operational
• stakeholders.
• Partner with teams across Finance, Marketing, Operations and Digital to solve business
• challenges through data.
• Drive market and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities.
• Improve reporting efficiency through automation and scalable analytical frameworks.
• Develop and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Mentor and coach analysts, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
• across the analytics team.
• Support data governance initiatives, ensuring high standards of data quality and
• consistency.

About You 

You will be a commercially minded analytics professional who enjoys influencing business outcomes through data. You're naturally curious, highly collaborative and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

You will also bring:

• Extensive experience in analytics, business intelligence or insights roles.
• Experience using Power BI, Python, SQL, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent tools to analyse data, automate workflows, and deliver reporting and analytical solutions.
• Advanced Excel modelling capabilities.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and building automated reporting
• solutions.
• Exceptional communication and data storytelling skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Experience mentoring or coaching analysts.
• A focus on continuous improvement, data quality and governance.
• Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline
• will be highly regarded.
• Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
