The Opportunity

Are you a Diploma-qualified Lead Educator ready to step into a role where your passion is celebrated and your growth is encouraged?

At Great Beginnings Golden Bay, we’re on the lookout for an inspiring Lead Educator to join our warm, energetic, and close-knit team in our Nursery 1 room (6 weeks–12 months). With a cosy group of up to 8 children and a strong two-room nursery partnership, you’ll be well supported to do your best work every day.

You’ll bring heart, creativity, and confidence to nurturing our youngest learners, building beautiful relationships, and shaping a calm, engaging environment where babies feel safe, loved, and curious.

This is a full-time, fixed-term role (38 hours per week) on a 6-month contract, with the opportunity to extend.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 100 children with operating hours from 6.30am to 6.30pm.

About You

• You will hold an ACECQA approved Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven Educator experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years) 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• A current Working with Children Check 
• First Aid certificate
