The Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our People & Culture team. This is a strategic role responsible for partnering with senior leaders to deliver proactive employee and industrial relations outcomes across a national organisation.

You will provide expert advice on complex workplace matters, support organisational change initiatives, lead workforce risk and governance activities, and contribute to enterprise-wide people strategies within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on complex employee and industrial relations matters, workplace investigations, and employment legislation.
  • Support enterprise bargaining activities, industrial relations strategy, and union engagement.
  • Analyse workforce trends, risks, and emerging issues to inform business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain ER policies, frameworks, governance processes, and reporting.
  • Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, redeployment, and redundancy processes.
  • Coach and build capability of leaders to effectively manage people matters.
  • Identify workforce risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to drive positive employee relations outcomes.

About You 

You are an experienced Employee Relations professional with strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Enterprise Agreements, and Modern Awards.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise bargaining and organisational change initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Law, or a related discipline.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
