The Opportunity

Are you seeking a greater work /life balance? Do you enjoy being creative in the kitchen and running your own operation? Do you enjoy working with children?

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Community Kids Horningsea Park to produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks. This is a Permanent Part-Time role working  25 Hours per Week

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing fresh, nutritious, and appealing meals and snacks daily
  • Managing food preparation in accordance with food safety standards and regulations
  • Catering for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences. Ordering stock.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
  • Promoting healthy eating habits and positive food experiences for children

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 54 children with operating hours from 7am to 6pm.

Successful Applicants must hold

  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery – ACECQA approved
  • A current Working with Children’s Check 
  • You will also share our commitment to bringing learning to life, inspiring the children in our care to reach their full potential.
