The Opportunity
We are seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join our Safety, Quality & Compliance Team and play a critical role in ensuring our centres meet regulatory obligations and uphold the highest standards of child safety and service excellence.
As a Compliance Coordinator, you will work closely with Operational Leaders to manage and process all external compliance notifications to the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. You’ll ensure accuracy, quality, and timely submission of information, while supporting centres to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment with a strong eye for detail and a passion for improving outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and submit high-quality, timely compliance notifications and breaches to the Department.
- Review and refine draft notification details, ensuring accuracy and preventing rework.
- Track follow-up actions and maintain complete, accessible records for each centre.
- Review Department feedback and manage requests for additional information or evidence.
- Support Assessment & Rating processes, including QIP submissions and feedback reviews.
- Monitor centre progress on agreed improvement actions and provide reminders where required.
- Assist centres to develop and implement effective improvement plans.
- Support child protection and wellbeing requirements, including processing notifications and providing guidance on legislation.
- Collaborate on incident reviews, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coach Centre Managers on notifications, breach responses and Quality Improvement Planning.
- Identify trends, risks and recurring issues to support continuous improvement across G8.
- Champion child safety and WHS obligations, contributing to a strong safety-first culture.
About You
- Minimum 5 years sector experience
- Diploma Children’s Services
- Analytical with demonstrated written and reporting skills.
- Collaborative verbal skills with an ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
- Experience within a highly regulated sector, preferably the Early Education Sector.
- Previous experience in a regulatory or compliance function.
- Highly organised with an ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes.
- Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
